It\'s been said before but:

Germany did not need XX1 or 262 to win WW2 in the West, Germany needed a coherent strategy (do not invade the USSR).
To win in the west, Doenitz required support from the Luftwaffe:
Condor for convoy spotting and VLR anti-shipping strikes (although the real value of the Condor was to stay with the convoy out of AA range and summon the U-boats to attack)
Long range JU 88 for strikes against Coastal Command A/S planes, including escorting surfaced U-boats across the Bay of Biscay
JU 88 anti-shipping strikes in support of U-boats.
Additionally, U-boats to operate in radio silence (as far as possible).
Change Enigma rotors (or use \"one-time pads\")
Result? The UK is starved into submission, Germany wins in the West.
Can Germany win in the East? No

Hindsight is 20/20
