<HTML>Hi Viking,

I don\'t know if we talk about the same U-Boot, but on this site\'s forum, there is an article mentionning the raising of two Seehund Type U-boat those last days on the German coast:

The first was found at Fehmarn, next to Hamburg; The craft, lying on her side only 12 m deep, still contained the skeletal remains of her two crewmembers.

The second has been raised on Thursday near Darss, (Mecklemburg/Vorpommern). As this Seehund is almost intact, it is slated for restoration and exposition in the Military Museum of Dresden.

The original Newspaper article can be found in German at this link (edition of 12 and 13 May 2001).

Is one of those the one you saw in your newspaper ?

Regards
