Yes it is good to be back. I got married recently and that takes some planning, thus consuming some major on-line time.

Thank you both for the info, I know BP was extremely important for the intelligence provided to the allies. I think I will try that book off Jak Mallmann Showell intitled Enigma U-boats. (It must be good to read a book of a fellow forum-contributor)

I guess the answer remains they could read the encoded messages from time to time, but were dependent on the intelligence material supplied to BP by the allies. They were not able to breake the code itself. I am not trying to take the shine away from BP, I like to know things as precise as possible.
