Okay, okay. When this sort of thread happens, it tends to go on and on ad infinitum - that\'s forever in Latin, in case you didn\'t know.
As for always being called \'she\'. Not so. Some are it - because they do not fit the traditional idea of a ship. Example? FPP\'s - Floating Production Platforms, SSR\'s - Semi-submersible rigs...
Tradition says she - convention may dictate otherwise.
Oh and why the name change? Unless you ar John Pat...?
