<HTML>Hi Johan,
these six boats were disassembled in Kiel, they took the Diesel- and Electric engines and the batteries out and cut off the conning tower.
Then they were put on barges and brought to Hamburg and down the Elbe River to Dresden.
Then they were put on special trucks and brought overland to Ingolstadt at the Danube River.
From there the boats were put on barges again and went down the Danube River to Galatz. In Galatz the boats were assembled again and towed to Sulina at the Danube Delta and then the boats went from Sulina by own power to Konstanza, were the 30th flotilla was stationed.
I hope, I could be of help
Regards, Torlef
