<HTML> Hi Joe,
>>Make no mistake about it, I do believe the Russian government does insist that the bow section of the\\\" Kursk\\\" which was very badly damage by two blasts, be retrieved without any help wanted from the West.!<<
The press reports in the Western Military Media state that they\'d rather see it blown up. Whatever, those salvage teams will get a look at it whatever- the damage extended from the for\'ad end to the conning tower - hard to disguise and also hard to cover up an explosion - outward facing damage - or an implosion - inward facing damage.
>>This is very obvious and typcial of Russia to do their own secret investigation on the Kursk\\\'s bow, to determine the REAL cause of the lost of one of their own nuclear submarines.<<
I agree, though how they will stop the salvors from undertaking at least a discreet scan of the wreck will be hard work!
>>Of coures, you and me and many others in the Western World will never
know whole truth behind this tragedy which killed 118 men.<<
No, sadly we will not. The reason for her loss will either be \'causes unknown\' or they will insist that she was rammed. I find it hard to accept that a tragedy like this - something from which we can all learn from - will be used to further Putin\'s career and to shout to the world that there is nothing wrong with Soviet Naval technology.
Aye,
