<HTML>Dear Frank:
In \"Hitlers\' U-Boat War, The Hunters 1939-1942\" Clay Blair writes on p574, \"On May 11, Gunther Krech in the VII U-558 sank the British ASW trawler BEDFORDSHIRE off Cape Lookout, with the loss of all thirty-seven crewmen. Six bodies were recovered and four were buried on Ocracoke Island in a plot deeded to the British government\".
In \"Torpedo Junction\" Homer Young on pp206-208 provides a detailed account of the recovery of the bodies and the funeral services and burials, but makes no comment regarding the grave sites becoming \"British soil\".
Cordially.
