I used to live just outside Brest. here arebunkers all around the goulet de Brest that atre fantastic to visit. If you talk nicely to officials at the U-boat pens they can be toured in Brest but the massive 1UF motif that was on the interior wall has recently been painted out. If you are a diver there are lots of Vorpostenboote, Sperrbrecher and Minensuchboote wrecks. The Battle of the Atlantic museum on Crozon Penn. is so-so, but the entire artillery emplacemnt a must see.
Lorient pens are schdeuled (on and off) for demolition so go and see them now! Also Lager Lemp is visitable. St Naziare has pens that now house the Tourist Information centre and have changed a fair bit - still worth a look. You get a good view of where the Lancastria went down south of the river mouth.

There are hundreds of sights to see.Near Brest try Chateau de Trevarez (U-Bootheim) Locranon (1UF living quarters in the old candle shop) and so on.

Have a good trip - and if you jkeep to the coastline you can\'t help but fall over KM bunkers.
