<HTML>Tks, Tore,
for that newspaper article, which fills some holes in Yngvar\'s all too brief description of the incident. Finally found Hopseidet. Which roughly 500+nm NE from Narvik area - more than a days running flat out on the surface for a 7c - 3 to 5 days when combined snorkel or surface/subsurface travel.
Even if newspaper article spotty on accuracy, its something to start with. What appears to be described here (in a nutshell), reprisals taken after partisans opened fire on a landing party???
If so, that would - unforntunately for the immeditate victims - be SOP (standard operating proceedure) of most belligerents in WW2.
Let\'s dig into this a little deeper!
Walt, there were quite a few special ops carried out by boats (even w. special troops shipped aboard) in that Northern theater in the last months of the war. Most of which have never been written abt. Understand some of this subject of a new book coming out in German end of this year.
