I heard about this thread through Torstein. I must admit when i first heard of the incident it really had me puzzled. Back in January a local man from the area who\'s been researching the local WW2 history up there for years told me what he knows. The boats involved were U-992 as already stated and U-318, the landing party apparently were made up from a coastal artillery unit, otherwise the events were pretty much as described in the VG article.
