A week after U 118 laid the minefield the convoy MKS 7 went into it and lost three British ships. This is another indication that MKS 8 went into the minefield (assuming they used the same route as MKS 7).
Rohwer put a question mark behind the MKS 8 in the entry about HMCS Weyburn on page 150. Probably he don\'t have enough informations about this convoy.
But it seems very unlikely to me that Thorsholm was unescorted on her way from UK to Gibraltar.
I can feel with you.. the conflicting informations cost much time to clear them out and are really frustrating. I hope to find some time to get through your listing of Norwegian ships and compare it with my sources.
I\'m also using \"old\" sources, but it\'s better to compare American, British, Norwegian and German sources, as to use only the American one\'s for example. I think that Norwegian authors know more about Norwegian ships than all others authors. Perhaps because only them can read Norwegian sources.. ;-) hehe
