Sinking of U-176 off Cuba

<HTML>I have read Blair\'s two volume set which explains the fate of Dierksen\"s U176 also U-boat War in the Caribbean. If someone can shed some light on the situation such as How deep is the water where U176 was sunk since it was 100 miles east of Havanna in the old Bahama Channel? The SC13 ex- coast guard cutter which sunk U176, how far is it allowed to go out from Cuba? I am wondering is there limits(miles from coast) in which its allowed to operate? Also it states in the Blair book, \" That after fourth and fifth depth charge set at 200 and 250 ft brown and muddy water rose up.\" Does this indicate that the boat was bottomed out allready? What I am trying to get at is what caused the secondary loud underwater explosion and was the boat bottomed out at 250ft? Thank you!</HTML>
