<HTML>If memory serves me correctly, and it does, the Kriegsmarine was totally destroyed. The americans were delivering no engorging supplies across the ATLANTIC. Cakes were even fresh. The U-Boats were gone, or harassed into neutral ports.

By the way, I think Hitler handled his boats very well as Commander-in-Chief, especially when he refused to get drawn into a shooting war with the USA during the months in late 1941 when Roosevelt (under a phoney cover of neutrality) was desperately trying to provoke a fight with Germany by attacking the U-Boats.</HTML>
