<HTML>Wrong again. Germany started the war with like 57 U-boats, and not all were operational...and many were coastal boats. Doenitz wanted 300 to defeat England, a number the Kriegsmarine didn\'t reach for a few years. If Germany had begun the war with 300 U-boats, I think it\'s safe to say Britain never would have been able to hold out. She nearly didn\'t anyway, and with fewer U-boats than Doenitz ideally wanted.</HTML>
