<HTML>Hi Kenny,

According to the following source, there are 3 insignas for this boat

- First, two crossed swords with number 37 under them. The number 37 stands for OL Leimkühler, U-225\'s commander, who was from crew 1937.

- Second, a city badge (to me unknown) On a white shield, a dark diagonal stripe from upper left to lower right. This might be the city badge from Wesermünde, the hometown of the commander.

- Third, a white dog pursuing the English Lion wrapped in the english flag and with a bandage on its head and on the left front and hind paws.

I\'ll try to make you a scan today

Source: Högel, G. (1996), Embleme, Wappen, Malings deutsche U-Boote 1939 - 1945, Koehler. ISBN 3-7822-0650-9.

U-225 can be found on page 77.

Best regards,
Marc </HTML>
