<HTML>U-Boat crews in late 43 and 44 and 45 did not expect to make it home. I\'ve talked to them in person. The Americans in 44 had small \"jeep\" carriers operating in concert with convoys. The U-Boat is no match for air attack. You can see them at 200 ft.</HTML>
