<HTML>Three cheers for Lt. Dixon! Yes, I\'m behind the curve. I got my info from \"Blue and Gray\" magazine. What I read, the ID tag was from a Connecticut soldier who was killed at the assault on Fort Wagner in 63. (Of 54th Massachussets/ \"Glory\" fame) I\'d guess one of the crewmen was a gunner in the fort and got it as a trophy. I do not know if CSA or CSN manned the guns in Wagner. Have you heard anything on when the funeral is to be? tjk</HTML>
