<HTML>The British sub Unison was shelled with loss of life by an American merchant tanker in a convoy the Unison was assigned to protect. This was in the Med on a convoy to Malta.
There were many incidents of US subs in the Pacific being attacked by friendly air force. Fortunately, the Pacific Air ASW was not as good as the Atlantic. I\'m not sure, but I would not be suprised to find that the US Army Air Corp made more attacks against American boats than they did against Japanese.</HTML>
