<HTML>Hi MPC,
Can\'t shed much light on this, but it is interesting to note, that Busch/Roell annotates the + date with \"verstorben\". This seems to indicate he died of a medical condition other than a combat induced wound abt. a year after turning command of U855 over to P.Ohlsen. Thereafter only staff positions. Superficially, it looks like a medical relief of command to me. Rgds, RB</HTML>
