You have the German language version of Busch und Röll. The English version just says \"Died 10.4.45\"

In German, as you well know, there are different words for one who has died....eg verstorben, gestorben, gefallen usw. Perhaps another can shed some light on the cause/reason of the death of this young U-boat commander......
