According to U-boat operations WWII by Ken Wynn U2521 was attacked on 4/5/45 by Typhoons of 184Sqdn 2nd Tactical Air Force as she moved out of Geltinger Bucht and the commander(OL Joachim Methner) and his crew of 40 men lost their lives in the attack.
