<HTML>Hello Gavin
Given the fact that my Father is a Pacific War Veteran a life is a life no mattter where it is. Pacific, Atlantic. He is a survivor of Iwo Jima nad Okinawa. One thing he has said when asked how he felt taking the few prisoners so they can live was \" once they are done and raise their hands they are nothing more than humans\"
I hope this helps you to understand that it does not matter where one fought or the politics of the diffrent sides. I as a former Marine and Viet Vet also look back and think was it neccessary to kill the POW Gooks ?? Was it neccessary to throw them off Choppers to make a few othres talk?
No I don\'t think so. For them it was over once they were caught. Whether on land or sea once you a done and struglgle to stay alive or afloat it\'s over. As some one mentioned earlier on this forum some pages ago, the allies starving nearly a million German POW\'s was wrong. But we always come up with an excuse why it was O K. Such as the war in the Atlantic was diffrent than in the Pacific and so forth and so on..........</HTML>
