<HTML>Hello All
The above post to answer Mikes question of me talking to the vets at the VFW is not directed to everyone of the new generation or the so called Now generation.
It is ment as a generalization. I know that there are many of the Younger Generation that have diffrent thoughts then the rest. To those I say thank you and respect what you are trying to learn.. But most or a lot of todays folks do not take interest in past history. If they do they consider themselves experts.
I like the ones that take it further and talk to the vets (with some respect, rather then call them latrine mouths). But again I will say that the main topic is not so much of what happened then. It\'s what has happened now. It\'s the politicians that have disregard for the Veterans. It\'s not only here it\'s also abroad. The German vets of WW II are constantly read about and viewed on the History channel or disscused about here. Yet they are also in the same boat as we. No they are in worst shape then us. We at least still have a Veterans Day. They are in some cases considered criminal. All I want to say is that we do not disscuss what could have happened if we did this or that. Mike all we disscuss is what I said. We are bitter to what is happening now. To what is being taken away. And to who the public admires more, certainly not the Veterans. As I said there were more Thank You Lakers banners hanging from homes than flags on Veterans day. I never seen someone make up a sheet to say Thanks Vet\'s.
And Im sure that our counterparts in Germany and Japan never seen something like that.
Well enough said. I think that I have driffted far from the U Boat thread. This was just to answer Mike question (with an Eh? yet) But this is not comming from a latrine mouth Mike.</HTML>
