<HTML>But would airborne search radar development have been pushed harder and come on line sooner by RN aircrew who knew better the need, than by RAF upper management to whom the war at sea was probably more of a crimp in their bombing campaign and fighter procurment plans? (Though if the thought that far, they\'d not be bombing much if the aircraft had no gas to get off the ground.) </HTML>
