<HTML>I have the same cigarettes case, with a picture of an U-boat (type VII C) and swasitka engraved on the top. But not gold, only wood. It was an special present gived to the first crewman of submarine after her launch, during the first time of WW II.
After some months, this present were not given more time to the seaman.
I gave this present to a navy museum .
