The mugs I believe you are refering were originally done as novelty items several years back. They are not authentic! They also show up on eBay with fair regularity. The funny part is that when they were first made, they sold for about $20-25 US Dollars and now they sell on eBay for much higher. I\'ve seen a few go for as much as $200+. I heard that most of the mugs were bought up buy a few people and are now \"dumped\" on the web in hopes of recouping their costs.

And while the basic design of the mug is nice, with the U-boat badge on one side and a Knight\'s Cross on the other, the rest of the mug is cheaply painted and looks it too.

I guess they\'re nice if you want a conversation piece, the question is how much are you willing to pay for it?
