Dear Sir,
I have recently discovered my father Lewis Wilfred Le Page was an able seaman on board the H.M.S. Transylvania when it went down in August 1940.
He was adrift in a lifeboat for four days before being rescued by the H.M.S.Fortune, afterwards sent to Glasgow on two weeks survivors leave. He lost touch with the other survivors. He is now eighty seven, but recalls it all very well.
Yours Sincerely
Robert Le Page
