<HTML>Hi Lawrence
By now I cannot answer your question.
After a quick search this is all what I´ve fount about Thalia.
\"U-109 under her second commander, Bleichrodt (in the white scarf), enters Lorient. In August 1941, this boat completed an extended patrol off Gibraltar, during which she was re-supplied from the tanker Thalia in Cádiz harbour on 22th July.(Wolfgang Hirschfeld)\"
This is the caption under a photo included in the pages numbers 52/53 of the book \"U-Boats of Worl War Two.Volume I\" by Robert C. Stern.
I´ve got some questions for you:
Was Thalia a Kriegsmarine or a neutral tanker?
There was an ESSO tanker with Panama flag named Thalia.
Is this the vessel that you and Stern are referring to?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards</HTML>
