I knew I\'ll get some \"flak\" from others and especially from you
in regards to U-534.

However, my point to you is that future generations have already got
the opportunity in visiting WWII German U-boats..eg U-995 or U-505.
Why bother with a old rusty U-boat..?
In regards to your other \'smart ass\' comments, U-534 did not always
lays in \"fresh\" water.. U-534 was raised in 1993 in the Kattegat area.
The Kattegat strait is 230 km long and from 60-160 kms wide between
Sweden & Denmark. It is connected with the North Sea through the
Skagerrak, which begins at the northern tip of Jutland, and with Baltic
Sea. There is some fresh water around, but most of it is sea water.!!!
U-534 was an IXC/40 boat. which sank on the 5th May 1945 in the
Kattagat noth-west of Helsingor. 5 U-boats have been raised in this
area since the war ended these U-boats are U-3503 raised in 1946,
U-2338 in 52, U2365 in 56 U-843 in 58 & U-534 in 1993.
