U 309 found off Orkney U 309

Just a quick news flash from the horses mouth (well a mate in Orkney)

The Orcadian reports the wreck of U 309, Oblt.z.S Herbert Loeder, has been located in 200ft of water SE of Wick. Bows blown off and lying on port side. Visibility quite good I believe.

I wont go into details of the U-boat they have already been documented.

Try www.orcadian.co.uk believe there could be some info there but not looked yet.
