What I meant with crap is that some publishers seem to try it cheap and they use photos that are of poor quality and sometimes they excuse that by saying they are \"rare\" (Arms&Armour seems to suffer from this). But take a look at the Friedman book. The photos are just superb as they were taken by pros. In fact, the best b&w photographs I´ve ever seen on aircraft, ships etc. are some old official photos. According to a fellow who should know about photography the old film had more silver giving better quality. And if you want poor photos, check out USS Alabama in Squadron´s On Deck series: seems like many of the pics were shot using cheap throw away Kodaks. </HTML>
