Thanks Jerry. That seems pretty definitive.

The next question is, what effect would hand grenades have on a wooden hull?

Would the concussion be sufficient to stove in wooden planking if dropped close enough?

I have used grenades to stun fish in confined waters, but would a grenade have a significant effect on a wooden hull in the open sea?
