Birkenhead meeting & U 534 visit

What news/further thoughts on the proposed meeting in Birkenhead.

Is the date definately the 17th November, what time of day (all day or part of the day).

A tour of the U 534 has to be booked in advance.

What about accommodation especially for those from overseas - at least one from Australia and a good chance of one from France. Us in the south of England are a little too far for \"day running\" especially after a drink or two.

Perhaps those that go could visit the U 534 and the other attractions, book into a hotel/motel or something then have a meal and spend the evening getting to know each other over a few warm beers.

And - what about family ? I, personally, have no objection to anyone bring partners/children.

Your thoughts/comments would be appreciated.
