Rainer,
I missed the controversy and just passed it along in case someone here was interested in this particular vessel and/or U-boat. I found the level of preservation on this deep water wreck interesting for my own reasons.
It's terrible how these stories get twisted around from one telling to the next.
They need to read Ken's excellent article: [www.uboat.net]
If I may make a suggestion: there have been many very good and interesting articles since this was posted in 2003, which has pushed it towards to bottom. Any way to make this more accessible to newer or more casual visitors?
