It seems that U-676 was equipped with a very strong AA for a type VIIC.
No problem to shot down a Il-2 with so many guns :)

You\'re right.. the Fw-190 of the JG 54 were very active at that time over the Baltic.

But to find out what happened in October 1944, we need the KTB of U-676.
