Hi, In the book 'U-Boats in the Atlantic' by Paul BeaverISBN 085059 386 7, on pages 78-79, a type IX U-boat is shown with the very same type of zigzag pattern, only with a slighty different version. For some reason the boats number is missing, however it is stated to be at Wilhelmshaven and dated December 19th 1939. Finding which type IX boats were there at this time should help with identifing these two. john
