There are many books dealing with the operations of U-boats of the east coast of the US in WW2. Many of them are now probably out of print but you could probabably track down copies through second hand book stores or military book stores.
Some of the better known books are
Operation Drumbeat.
Track of the Grey Wolf
Torpedo Junction
On the Triangle Run. You might find others listed in the book section of this site that may help. Many of the books can be obtained from Amazon.com through this site (which helps Uboat.net) or you could try www.bookfinder.com for older books.
Some of the general histories of the U-boat war also give details of U-boat operations.
Clay Blairs Hitlers U-Boat War has appendices listing patrols & successes of uboats during operations against America.
For individual U-boat Histories you could try K.Wynns two volumes on U-boat operations in ww2.
Hope this is helpful.
Regards
Robin
