<HTML>Hi All - well those interested in meeting,
I have just been on the phone to Jak Maallmann Showell. He will be in Birkenhead on the 13/14 OCTOBER. Which is the Battle of the Atlantic weekend He will be visiting the U 534 and also giving a talk in the evening at the Hilton Hotel in St Helens. At present there are about 40-50 people going. If any of us wish to be there that weekend a meal could be arranged at the Hilton and we could either stay there or arrange accommodation elsewhere. On the Friday evening there is also a talk by an ex Royal Navy man who saw the Battle of the Atlantic from the other side.
I have also been on the phone to a chap who is involved with the U 534 and he will email me details about the availability of visits to the U 534 on the 13/14 Oct or 17/18 Nov as we are planning.
There is a faint chance of Jak Mallmann Showell being able to visit in November but is he will be there in August, September and October I wont push it. It really is \"one hell of a journey\" from where he lives.
Let me know what you all think.
Chris - this is your baby so, over to you
Regards
