Hi Rainer, once again many thanks, I got the USN info from Wiki, Swenning mentioned in the attack on U1229, while Willis arrived and was involved in the search,admittedly no actual rescuing was made by her. On checking Janssen, she is indeed mentioned as part of the Bogue group, however, only U546 is mentioned with her involvment with U-boats. Regards John
