Steve,

Oddly enough, I just exchanged e-mails with Gummi on this topic a couple of days ago. The reality is that we have limited (incomplete) information on the World War II side on promotions dates and decorations. Sometimes having nothing entered means we don't have access to the sources that would provide that information, not that the officer in question didn't earn any medals. It's something that we are working to correct, but it's going to take some time. (Gotta figure out how to best get access to various editions of the Rangliste der Deutschen Reichsmarine/Rangliste Der Deutschen Kriegsmarine.)
