70th Anniversary of Loss of U-853

Gentlemen,

Let us not forget that today is the 70th anniversary of the loss of the Type IXC/40 boat U-853 (OLzS Froemsdorf) 6.7 miles East of Block Island, Rhode Island, U.S.A.. The last of the U-boats sunk in combat action during WWII.
