Hey Thomas,

maybe that's why the germans lost the war if they were always making a stop over ireland to buy the best drinks ireland had to offer or to exchange liquor against lighters on their trip to the atlantic convoys!

Or maybe on their way back home, but why are there no more irish people with german lighters?
If that would have happen then it would have happened more then 1 time and at least with more then 1 lighter/things etc. because that irish guy would have been so clever to know, what he could do more with:
"german reichsmark" or german souvenirs in his pockets in ireland?

AND: What would an Irish Guard or Police Man had done with a german visitor or soldier in uniform ?

Ireland might have been neutral, but that doesn't mean that it was the same game as Spain where german soldiers had fought before 1939 in the spanish civil war for General Franco.
