C/333 Catalina attack on 17/05/1944 - U-241 or U-240 (18th)?

Is the attack by C/333 now considered to be the sinking of U-240?

Historisches Marinarchiv site lists the attack as the sinking of U-240 although they have it dated the 17/05/1944 at 0007.

The 333 Sqdn ORB (as far as I can tell) shows the attack at 0007 on the 18th. Does state "2221 ...Commenced patrol. 2 Uboats sighted" (17th) but I think that's been misinterpreted, to mean "2 Uboats sighted and attacked at 2221"...

Any thoughts?
