U-852 Update

Hey all,

I posted a while ago about an online project attempting to find the wreck of U-852 off the coast of Somalia here: [uboat.net]

Dropping in to mention that we've found it! We were pretty sure before, but we had some members go to the National Archives in the UK to find locations and data, and the project leader spoke to some contacts in the area that turned out to know exactly where it was. One of the leader's friends supplied him some pictures of the wreck when he went in 2005, we have a thread up about that here: [redd.it]

I've noticed that the location on the page here is slightly off, it can probably be corrected now that we've got confirmation. Precise coordinates are here: 9°34'36.01"N 50°48'11.55"E

Currently, the project leader is working on getting permission from the local government to go and visit the site, he plans to get some more pictures including some underwater shots, etc.

As always you guys are welcome to come in and help out!
