Dear Rainer

According to the Office of the Historical Navy Historical Section Admiralty, by letter H.S.L. 129/58 of 31 December 1958:

“At 1214/28 October an Italian submarine, call-sign 67N, was placed by W/T in approx 42° N, 21° W and 19 minutes later (1233/28) the destroyer DUNCAN attacked a submarine contact with depth charges, results not known. The DUNCAN reported having first sighted the submarine on the surface six miles away”.

Being a god Italian submarine could not be that the MARCONI.

Francesco
