Operational orders for the Loch Eriboll procedure (LEP) were in effect transferred to Scapa Flow (SLEP) when the possibility of further surrenders from sea was perceived to have ended.

I am not sure that we are micturating in the same receptacle on Scapa numbers. The figures emanating from my search of original source documentation indicate 64 U-boats processed at Scapa rather than the 55 to which you refer.

All were despatched direct to either Lisahally or Loch Ryan as by that time handling facilities at Loch Eriboll and Loch Ryan had been disbanded. And, of course, the boats received into Scapa were neither fully crewed nor armed; they had previously surrendered in Norwegian bases and been rendered inert there.

All this from memory. My notes and files are not readily to hand.
