Dear James,

« Les forces maritimes de l’Ouest 1939-1940 » by Le Capitaine de Frégate Caroff (Service Historique de la Marine, 1954) lists a number of KS convoys and their composition, dates etc., but 27KS is not amongst them.
The series of convoys listed goes from 23KS – 26K – 27K – 28KF – 30KS.

Arnold Hague's convoy website [www.convoyweb.org.uk] doesn't list 27KS either.

Caroff's work does list a convoy 27K (Casablanca – St.Nazaire/Brest) from Nov.1939. It consisted of:
1) Departing Casablanca on 14/11/1939:
Poitiers
Lorient
P.L.M. 20
Spring Dale
Grand Quevilly
Fauzon
Fort de Souville
André Moyrand
Emile Baudot
Félix Henri
Octane

2) Departing from Oran:
Cornouailles

Destination: Saint-Nazaire and Brest, arriving 20/11/1939.

Escorte:
Chevreuil (enters Lorient 21/11/1939)
Frondeur (enters Brest 21/11/1939)
Siroco (enters Brest 21/11/1939)
Trombe (leaves the convoy at Cap Roca)

Regards,
Walter
