Thanks for taking the time to write the nice good response. Yes, i agree with you on the points you made about the legal system. In the case of the Nazis, i think the victors were defining their legal systems on the defeated. Was it done according to stipulations put forth by the International court of justice? I doubt it. I think it was hatred for fascism and all things german that caused them to act irresponsibly in some cases at Nuremberg. I definitely think the Jodl, Hess and Donitz judgements were not quite justifiable. The only consolation being that the latter two didn\'t lose their heads. It was more like the russians wanted to hack the heads of all the Nazis (justfiably so in the case of commisar order put forth by SS and SD) and the Americans totally angered by what they saw at the concentration camps. I think it is hard to blame any one nation for the legal judgements. About 50 million people dead in the span of 35 years can cause nations to act more than strictly. I think that one of the major causes of WWII and the Hitler phenomenon in general was the irresponsible rules laid out at Versailles. In a sense if it wasn\'t fot the versailles treaty, we probably wouldn\'t have seen the birth of the croatian serbian nation of yugoslavia and there might never have been the recent ethnic cleansing!!! maybe its wishful thinking but still.....
