U-Boats by David Miller is a great resource for german subs of the first and second wars. War beneath the sea is a great book too and so is Hitlers U-Boat war, The hunters 1939-1942. The first book has awesome pics and offers great technical detail. The other two books are definitive accounts in terms of the the war. Also another good book is the Das U-Boote by a couple of french authors. Wolfpack by Phillip Kaplan and Jack Currrie has some great pictures in it. From the german side, Gross Admiral Doenitz has written his memoirs and is titled \"Memoirs\". Don McIntyre\'s book U-Boat Killer is a killer book too. Hope this helps. So long mate.
