Movies and Films
This is the forum for Movie and Film discussions. Again, our topic is naval warfare in WWII for the most part.

This argument looks set to run & run. I notice that no one has mentioned \"We Dive at Dawn\" with Clark Gable (who incidentally, along with Jimmy Stewart served with the 8th Air Force over here during the war). Also there was a film called \"Operation Petticoat\" with Cary Grant (I think), the predominant bit in the film being the crew painting the submarine pink.
Also the 50\'s classics such as \"Morning Departure\" (John Mills, Richard Attenborough) which was based on the loss of HM Submarine \"Thetis\" in Liverpool Bay in 1939. \"Above Us The Waves\" (John Mills, Stewart Gregson & Donald Sinden) about the X Craft attack on KMS Tirpitz in September 1943.
The only other one that springs to mind is \"Down Periscope\" (Kelsey \"Frasier\" Grammer) which is an acquired taste but does have a rather nice Gato class sub in it.
I await your replies with interest.
